Meal Kits with Meaning
Meal Kits with Meaning are boxes of fresh, locally grown ingredients, paired with a recipe, that are home-delivered or made available for pick-up.
We purchase food from local farmers and food artisans/suppliers in our network.
Ingredients are traceable to small, local family farms and listed with every meal kit.
Volunteers kit the items in our local restaurant space and deliver kits to families in Forsyth County.
By providing this convenient access to farm-fresh food for paying subscribers, we’ll generate proceeds to subsidize meal kits for people in food insecure neighborhoods, as well as to help fund our other programs.
We are in the process of implementing a SNAP/EBT system for people to purchase meal kits at reduced rates using their food assistance benefits.
We offer our program for 10-weeks in the Spring with an impact project directly after, then again in the Fall for another 10-weeks.
Our Meal Kits with Meaning program is a significant part of our community outreach and an important funding source for our work.
